Heat TXV for Lennox

Who wired that A/C Ma'am? Why my husband did it. 3 sets of matching black and white tstat wires. Where did he learn how. Why at work, his buddy drew him a picture on his lunch bag. How many hrs do you want me to spend finding out what they did? None, chop it and start new. Yes Ma'am.

HMMM. We put in a LOT of XP19's and xp14's and have not lost one txv. Wonder why your area is having problems since they should all be the same. The installers using dry nitrogen and pulling a vacuum to under 500 microns? Not reusing old linesets are they?

Thats what I was thinkin. We put in hundreds of Lennox A/Cs every year and VERY VERY few failures of TX valves. We charge more but our guys do pull the proper vacuum etc.

from 2006 thru 2008 lennox found problems with the bellows that caused refrigerant to leak back into the sensor bulb then decided to not call it a problem but they decided to call it an "enhancement" in order to change to a different valve. we have replaced numerous valves in xp19 purchased from 2006-2008.Our clients are extremely pissed for having to pay unneeded labor charges that Lennox should have paid. i have a direct email from lennox describing the "enhancement" with a picture diagram. after years of wanting an explanation we now have one. Lennox valves are made by parker. i would be happy to forward this to anyone who needs the diagram.

In defense for Lennox 410a with TXV and TEV are less forgiven. Purging with nitrogen and pulling a vacuum with a micron guage to 500 microns or less is critical. Oxidation will cause a valve to fail.
