Heat pump will not come on; Electrical?
 

Hello All,

My heat pump will not come on, systems check on mechanics are good. I think it is electrical. What would cause outdoor heat pump to not come on with the electrical system. FYI I put in a new contactor last year.

I don't know if it's relevant or not...just a shot in the dark here...but I had to clean the earwigs out of the contactor on my condensing unit last spring before my A/C would start.

Earwigs like contactors for some reason. I had the same problem on my air compressor.

It's an easy thing to check! Good luck.
