Heat Pump T Stat Question

Daughter ccalled and said the Tstat was displaying a "flame and snowflake".

From what google told me its in lockout mode. Is something going on that I should call a tech out?

Thanks,

Ed

Heat Pump T Stat Question

Probably. can't tell you much with the limited info. I would reset it once, and see what it does.

What more do you want? Are you talking pressures or equipment?

Thanks

Heat Pump T Stat Question

Brand and model number of tstat. Same for equipment.

While line pressures and temps would help. I figured you didn't have them to post.

Heat Pump T Stat Question

If its flashing, its in lock out to prevent the compressor from short cycling.

If its not flashing. turn off the power to the indoor unit for a minute. then turn back on. If snowflake and flame come back on and are not flashing. Time for a new stat.

PS: If its powered by batteries, change them.
