Heat Pump - Oil Furnace Hybrid - Question

I live outside Boston, MA. I'm considering adding a heat pump/ac unit to help reduce our oil consumption. We have an 85% efficient oil burner - forced hot water. The house is 55 years old - decent insultation (blown-in in the attic). Our goal is to outfit the second floor only and reduce the use of the oil furnace - and gain AC.

My first quote for a Trane XR15 SEER 15.5 HSPF 9.0 is $8837.00
Minus rebates and tax incentive $7922.00 Is this a fair price for only the second floor? Are we going to notice a considerable reduction in oil costs for the investment? Thank you!
