Heat Pump HEATER KIT As Shop Heat - Need Thermostat Wiring Help !!

I have a good heater kit with blower that I would like to use for heat in my shop(I have the necessary wiring/amps available, and yes, our electric is cheap). It is a model H3HK020H-01 from Nordyne...Ive attached a wiring diagram below.

I can wire the blower motor (not pictured) and the heat coils just fine to run directly, but I would like to add a thermostat to the control end. I was wondering what parts I need to do so and which of the colored wires I use.

I have the unit as basically diagrammed, out to the blocks where supply voltage comes in and then the colored wires to the plug.

Any assistance appreciated. I am wiring familiar, just not much so with HVAC type equipment. My normal skillset is wiring shop motors and doing residential electrical work.

Thanks,
Brad
