Hello all. I'm sure most of you have been extremely busy this winter!!

Just a topic for discussion:

In your experience, are tubular type heat exchangers more effecient and do they last longer than baffle styles? I know that there's more to this question like material type, maintenance, climate etc etc but generally speaking?

Thanks and looking forward to your answers!

All depends on the type of steel>Metallurgy. If you got cheap recycled pop can steel then they don't last. Most heat exchanger failures are from them being overheated due to poor airflow or the gas burner pressure too high and overfired. Tubular or baffle does not matter.
