I have a Goodman HVAC system and had an odd problem occur tonight. We were heading to bed and went to turn down the heat to a lower setting and noticed the fan blower would not turn off. Then noticed that the air started blowing cooler and we started getting a musty smell. After further inspection I noticed that the condenser outside was running at the same time as the heat. I tried turning off/reseting the thermostat and the blower kept running and would not stop. The heat would turn off but the blower would keep running as well as the condenser, even when the switch was on off. I climbed up to look at the air handler and there were no codes blinking. So I killed the breaker to the condenser, and then to the heat/blower. Pulled batteries in the thermostat and reset. After turning the heat/blower back on it seems to be be working for now. I have had several problems both summer and winter of blower not turning off and have had to do full system reset, but this is a first. Any thoughts?
