Hallmark Baffle Help

Hey guys,
Had my Hallmark checked out other day, the baffle and baffle mounts on the top of the chamber were ruined. The repair guy wants to completely change out the furnace.

Right now the furnace runs just fine but as far as I can tell it is just running inefficiently. The hot air seams to just run right out the chamber to the stack with no delay.

My question is; do you think its worth the time to retro fit a new baffle plate into the chamber? So far my leading two ideas are:
Braze some new mounts up to hang the new baffle, (sand out corrosion)
Fit in the baffle by hanging it off the sides of the heat exchange grooves.

I have my doubts with the brazing idea I think that the metal is to far gone. Its seams very realistic however to fit in the baffle by its hangers to the sides.

Thanks for reading, any input into this would be great!

Is it a gas or oil furnace? Post some pics of it. I have seen old Sears Hallmarks.

Perhaps before thinking about repairing or replacing it. Is to determine why the baffle is gone.

Hallmark Baffle Help

Hey sorry was out for a bit.
Ya its an oil furnace and the baffle is gone because it was taken out after it fell down and cracked the box. I'll take some pictures Thursday and post back, also I'm waiting on a price quote for the baffle itself to see if it is even worth it.
