I am having an issue with my Goodman HVAC unit (i live in a condo and having a Goodman wasn't by choice!). The unit is a electric heat pump unit. When the thermostat is turned to AUTO and/or ON position, the heat kicks on, however, AUX flashes on the display...this seems to indicate that only the auxillary/emergency heat is working. Also, once the house gets up to temperature, the fan will not stop blowing and it continues to blow around cool air and it will do this continuously until I turn it OFF. Also, the outside unit isn't turning on.
I just had this unit serviced in August for an A/C problem, which was fixed by replacing a transformer on the inside unit and a contactor on the outside unit. The A/C ran perfectly after this. The heat worked properly for approximately 6 weeks and I just started having this problem.
My husband replaced the contactor again, just to see if that was the problem again, but it's still doing the same thing.
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give! THANKS!
The service tech may have knocked a wire loose. Or you could have another problem with the outdoor unit.
Sucj as a leak, causing it to be low on charge. And a safety keeping the outdoor unit from running.
Call the same service company back.
