Goodman Heat Pump

My wife removed the thermostat so she could paint the wall it was on. She did not flip the breaker for the heat pump, she said she saw a couple of sparks while she was removing it. I have since reinstalled the thermostat, but there is no power to the thermostat. Do they have an inline fuse in the unit, or should I just call an HVAC guy in?

Many do, some don't. Look in the blower compartment.

I did the same thing. There is a 3A automotive fuse on the circuit board. Take off the fan cover and it should be right there.

Changed the fuse this morning and I am good to go. Less than a dollar for a fuse sure beats a $100+ service call. Thanks
