Goodman Electric Heat Continously Running

Hi All,

I have a Goodman Heat Pump HVAC with the blower in the attic with a electric heat coil. It normally runs off the outside heat pump with no electric backup.

Last week, the electric heat with fan motor went into continuous run mode heating the upstairs to high temperatures. The outside heat pump was not running. I have a Honeywell Programmable thermostat and simply pulled it off the wall thinking that would stop everything in the next few minutes. No change occurred.

I went into the attic and pulled the fuse bar for the attic unit. I also took pictures of everything, read numerous google pages, etc... and figure it is the sequencer part (not sure what it looks like and therefore can't figure out what to do now... lol)

I have numerous digital photos of parts, labels, etc... I even pulled the coil heater part out, thinking I could just order a complete kit for under $150 and replace the whole thing.

This is my setup:

Air Handler: Goodman ARUF032-00A-1
Heater Coil Kit: HKR-10(C)
Fan Control: CIB1370735
Transformer: TRA114163

There are no other parts in the attic that control things (that I am aware of).

There are a few discrete parts on the heater coil kit that I could swap out individually for less money, but I am not sure if it is worth it. Possibly replacing the entire kit is just as easy and will keep me from being nickled and dimed in the long run.

So where the heck is this sequencer?

Yet you couldn't figure out google image?

You can Youtube search heat sequencers as well.

Good luck.

First, thanks for the Quick Response!

Second, I don't have one of those among the other parts... Any idea where it could be?

There is a Potter & Brunfield Relay, but I don't see this as the sequencer... T92S7A22-24

Here are the pictures I referred to earlier... I do not see the sequencer you are referring too. I would be suspicious of the relay though. I figure if it was continously powering the coil that would cause it, but I am not sure if this would force the fan to run also.
