Goodman draft inducer fan sticking

I have a Goodman furnace, about 3 years old, and the draft inducer fan has been stopping, sticking, and causing the furnace to shut down. I can free up the fan simply by hitting the outside, freeing it up. But then it gets stuck again. There are three screws on orange mounting grommets which I adjusted tightness trying to balance the motor + cleaned and oiled it, so that it wont stick. Wonder if I should replace it ?, I think the parts are under warranty, but being a DIY I don't know how, or need access to get a replacement.

Thanks for any help,

Replace the motor. Call your local dealer with the model and serial #. They will tell you if the part is under warranty and if they can give you the part to install yourself.

Thank You,

Pretty sure thats all I need to do. I am having trouble getting the parts, as all of the dealers are HVAC contractors wanting me to pay for them to go out and install it themselves. I think if I keep calling I will find one that will get the part for me for a small fee. I don't believe a DIY can get the part direct from the manufacturer, and there are no part supply houses which cover warranties to DIYs. Not easy being a DIY.

I know in my area any parts supplier for furnaces/gas appliances will NOT sell parts to someone without a gas license. To do so places the liability upon themselves if you then kill yourself and or family by improperly installing the product. I say bite the bullet, pay a contractor to install the part (plus then you have warranty).
