Goodman 95% flue vent
I just installed a 95% goodman gas furnace. For venting I have a 3" tee on the end.I was wondering if i could use a gas vent cap like this one
http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?...llow&cId=PDIO1 or would it cause a problem? |

If you're talking about the pvc intake and exhaust, no. I think that the flue vent is type b metal and should be 4" if I'm not mistaken. That cap is for the metal exahust (burned gases) vent.
Maybe someone with more experience with condensing furnces will chime in but I'm going to say no. |

The "T" fitting is the termination, you shouldn"t have to put anything else onto the vent termination. Adding additional fittings can cause freeze ups of the vent, and additional resistance to the venting system.

You have plastic venting for a high efficiency unit. Cannot add anything to it and must follow Goodmans venting guidelines or it will develop pressure switch tripping problems. A fake owl is a good idea on top of it to keep small birds from nesting in it.
No lie.
