Good system or not?

"Does it exist in that sort of simple, compare the whole line at one time, format?
Next step would be inserting the Rheem and Carrier models into it."

I just went through this and I did it by hand in Excel. I think it is just to make things a bit more difficult to do a rational evaluation by model and company cross-comparisons.

Cool. Will you attach the file or at least a screen shot?

I Called both Rheem and Lennox this morning.
They hemmed and hawed but I got enough to know it does still exist.
I know I had seen the Rheem sheet years ago but neither "nice phone lady" would budge on who to get the info from that wasn't the installing contractor I want to avoid before I have the info.

Twenty years ago I'd have had the job done by myself by now but this round I'm in a new town, I don't have access to a sheet metal equipment, the EPA rules make the AC complicated and the new control components and code issues here are a PITA I don't want to have to learn for one afternoons work.

Bob, I don't know what they have as I have professional salesmen who look after that and Canada promos can be different than the US. I hear thru the grapevine that it is supposed to be VERY good as a pkg furnace and AC. Furnace only not so good. They had a promo where you get the next higher quality furnace or AC (1 only) if you buy a pkg vs the normal pricing. In Canada the West region where I am the district sales manager also has some "flexibility" to give that type of promo even though it has ended but you need to haggle, less than 10% of people can do it that well. I made off like a bandit on a new Ford Escape last summer when they had that employee pricing event and sales were down as haggling is in my DNA. If the Lennox guy wants the biz bad enough he should be able to match the Trane as they are both expensive high end units. If your experience with him is bad then his service may be bad and bad service on a mod is like a bad marriage, may want the Trane if his service is better. check that out on the BBB or see if you can get some referrals from neighbors etc. his referrals could be his family or biased.
