general 1042L power humidifier

Hey everyone. I have a problem. its getting to be winter time and my Ducane Furnace has a general model ac-1 air cleaner with a general 1042L power humidifier. now that the furnace is running more i lately have a build up of water. i had a repair man come over and check it out and the vent lines on the furnace had become back filled with water and the furnace would not ignite. drained the lines and works great. recently the furnace shut down again and water was leaking out of the furnace and the vent lines were plugged again. what is causing the drain line not to drain and the vent lines to clog.

Could be a dirty trap.

could be a slow drain due to biological growth in the pipe. Biological growth or algae or other stuff could be partially blocking the pipe, you said that you drained the lines, did you blow through them to clear them or what do you mean exactly? Blow through them to ensure they are clear and then pour a cup of bleach down the pipe... this will help to kill anything growing inside the drain
