Gasket Material

Ok, one problem solved and another one to work on. Does anyone know what type of material is used for gaskets on the Mr Heater induced blower motor and flu box? It appears to be a white material, not sure of what it is. My induced fan motor has a noisy wobble to it, as if the fan is not running true and I want to check it out but since I don't have the replacement gaskets for these 2 items I cannot take it apart. Mr Heater will send them to me when they get them in stock but are unsure of how long it will be, so if I can find the material and make them, I will. Any ideas? I want to take care of this before it takes out the bearings in the motor. Thanks for any help.

Red RTV silicon. But the wobble in the inducer...that is not made to be disassembled or repaired.

He's right. Those units usually run over 3000 rpm and are not field repairable. Average life is 10 yrs in a cold climate (lots of running hours). You may want to order a new one and the gaskets with it. They are fake asbestos and called Pyrofelt if you can find it.

How's the bambino/baby, John? At home yet?
