The gas valve on a comfortmaker

The gas valve makes a loud rattling noise. The furnace turns on and the flame looks o.k.

leave it heating and shut the gas line petcock...reemove one wire off the top of the gas valve and touch and retouch it to see if its the valve or something near it...no damage or main burner willn't come on just the supply fan but see if you hear other then the valve....if it is the valve might be mechaically worn on the action...won't get better and isn't a servicable part has to be changed easy to do if you a diyer
