Gas furnance wont start..

Hi, hopefully someone can help me out here.

I recently changed out the thermo stat on my gas furnace now the heater will not turn on, it does not make any noise or even try to turn on the heater. The fans will turn on if I manually switch them on.

The furnace Brand is Goodman Model # GPD050-3
the status light on the furnace main board is solid red not sure if it should be on or off.

The thermo stat brand is Honeywell not 100% sure on model number looks to be 1213 it is a digital read out old one was analog.
is connected with 4 wires same as old thermo stat.

Thanks in advance for your help.

On the door of the furnace there will be a label that has the led codes telling you what they mean. The first thing I would check is that you put good batteries in the new stat. Second thing to check is the wiring. It's pretty self explanitory. The white wire is for the heating circut, the red wire is the 24v power, provided that its wired properly inside the furnace. If all your wires are hooked up right and it still doesn't come on, take the white wire and the red wire and touch them together. If the furnace comes on you got a bad thermostat.

Model number of stat would tell us if its compatible with your unit. Along with knowing what wires you connected where.
