I have an Inter City Products gas furnace Model No NUG125BHA1. I recently replaced the blower motor but the unit continually shuts off well before reaching the temperature set on the thermastat. The auto igniter properly starts the burner, the blower then starts working. However, the burner shuts off after a few minutes but the blower continues to blow even as the air begins to cool. After a few minutes, the burner starts again and the cycle continually repeats itself. The thermastat has been checked and appears to be working properly. Any suggestions?
Sounds like you're going out on high temp limit. With you having changed blowers I'd look at what speed you used, you may want to switch to a higher speed. Other than that look at filters or anything else that would restrict airflow.
you may want to get it inspected by a experienced Pro as LOTS of them have cracked heat exchangers or popped out rivets that hold the exchanger together.
agree with yuri...have furnaced inspected for damaged heat exchanger ..cracked..or rivets poped off.. inner city had problems with heat exchangers..ben sr
