gas dryer vent vertical

i have a stackable laundry set and the gas dryer exhaust is at the very bottom of the appliance. from there the hole in the wall is 6' up, almost directly above (so no diagonal travel). is this too much and will it reduce the efficiency of the dryer?

i mean, i have it all set up and it dries fine BUT i was wondering if it would be significantly more efficient if it were close than 6', to the point that it would justify drilling another hole in the brick wall?

It should be fine the way it is. Residential dryers want a static pressure of under .5" and total vent length 20' or less with 3 elbows. Your 6' vent will not improve by getting shorter.
