garage furnace
i have been given a new 60,000btu gibson 80+ afue downflow furnace for my garage, i'm wondering if it can be mounted on the wall 3 feet off the floor with a filter rack on top, with plenum box/closed in shelf with a rectangular difusser (to match whatever esp that is needed for the installation) under it. I don't want to have a bunch of ductwork if possible, the garage is 24x24, 11' ceilings. i know 60,000btu is a bit overkill for that size of room. space is limited, i'm tired of freezing and my stuff freezing.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions, tips or recommendations.

As long as its a sheetmetal box it should be OK. The furnace is most likely not designed to sit on wood. Code here is at least 18" off the floor.

The burners have to be 18" off the floor not the unit. You can't put it tight to the wall it has a minimum clearance of 1' on the back I believe, it should have a spec plate on it.
