Furnce Vent: Should I Move It Myself?

Doing a kitchen remodel and need to move my HVAC vent 12", elbow-reconnect on its way up through the attic.

Should I do this myself? Anything I need to know?

Too many elbows add too much static and cut down on airflow.

I would add only 2 new turns.
Need to know if I NEED to hire someone or can I do this (with the right info, tools, etc.)

It is easy to move but, two elbows may be too much. How many are in the line now? Can you post a pic? Each elbow is equal to 10' of pipe, so 20' of restriction is what your talking.
