Furnace won't turn power?
I've got a Janitrol GMP075-3 that overnight decided to stop working (and it's cold out). I'm no electrician but I've been able to eliminate a few of the possibilities.
  • Replaced the t-stat (previous unit was 10 years old and needed replacing anyways).
  • Checked and reset breaker.
  • Checked and replaced 3A fuse in the furnace.
  • Checked that furnace switch was in ON position.
  • Checked for any lose wires.
There is no pilot light, sounds, etc... and the status light isn't lit. While using the thermostat I was unable to get the fan to come one, AC to kick on, etc...

Any ideas of what it could be or where I should look? I searched and searched but couldn't find anything that would result in the status light not being on, besides power.

You need to get someone to check if there is 120 volts at the furnace. May have a bad breaker or power switch. If you have never worked with live high voltage electricity call a Pro.
