Furnace won't reset

Have a up north home and during winter months we experience power losses and the gas forced air furnace will not reset when power returns. Has caused frozen pipes, any ideas. thanks

Furnace won't reset

Why dosent the furnace reset when the power returns? It should just turn back on without any help.
What type of heating system do you have?

Furnace won't reset

There is no reason a loss of power should keep the boiler from restarting once the power is restored. The only thing I could posably think of is if your thermostat is battery powered and batterys went dead. What steps do you take to get running again? You may want to concider adding glycol (antifreez) to the system if powerloss is a common problem. This will help protect the heating system.

replace the primary. losing power shouldnt put your boiler into reset anyway.
