Furnace wont go on unless hit.

During hurricane Irene last year my basement flooded (about 1 foot if water) and caused danger to my furnace. I realized that all that seemed to be damaged was the circuit board. So I went online ( I am a total novice ) and googles the issue and found I could buy and replace it myself. I did and it seemed to work. The only issue I have is sometimes it won't go on until I literally hit the furnace no to hardly and then it goes on. What could be the issue? I attached a YouTube video of the issue as well.

Something electrical is loose. Thermostat connections inside the furnace/ door switch/ etc.
I would check over the connections on your board since you've just changed it.

Another question I have is do you have enough room in front of the furnace to ever change the blower motor?

I say a loose connection.
You are not hitting that thing hard enouogh to move anything inside, but the wires may be close to where you tap it.

Turn off the Tstat and jumper R-W on the furnace.

Nope. You won't get the blower out with that clearance.

The control board you installed. There are the low voltage wires connections coming from the thermostat. If you turn off the thermostat and jumper R-W at the control board, the furnace will turn on. You can check if the loose connection is inside of the furnace or the thermostat wires.

I had a new carrier furnace installed and it did the same thing, had to wake up in the middle of the night and hit the darn thing, the service guy never figured it out because it always worked when he came to the house, turns out is was the switch on the door, I just shorted it out, problem solved.

Was that salt water that got in?
I would have replace the whole unit. Keep an eye on it, I'm betting the whole bottom area that was under water is going to rust out.

No it was not saltwater. No rust will check door Switch though because that sound logical.

If it is the switch, replace it do not bypass it!
It's there for your safety.
