furnace venting
 

I have a furnace thats about 5 years old.They vented the exhaust thur the wall with pvc and the intake air is just a piece of pvc about 8ins long on top. my ? is would it be better to run that intake air to the outside and pickup outside air instead of inside air or just leave things alone? Thanks for your time and help in advance redman

It was easier to just pull inside air and not pipe it outside at installation. that's why it is how it is. Yes, it would be better to use fresh oxygen laden outdoor air for combustion and not use inside air.
