OK, I won't sell you a brand, but I can tell you what you need and where to get it. While I'm sure the gentlemen above me will argue "you get what you pay for", which is why they are pushing a brand, , most heaters have federal standards and guidelines, so I will make sure you get a good heater at a reasonable cost. I do need a little more info though. What is the ceiling height? How old is the cabin? Do you have single or duel pane windows? Do you have an attic to run duct work, or are you looking for a ductless system? The size you gave (24 x 30), is that the full footprint of the cabin, or are there bathrooms and other side rooms? Where is this cabin located so I can look up what temps we are dealing with? With this info, I can give you a system that will take care of your heating needs.

What is your zip code so I can direct you to your nearest HVAC supplier?

It's a duplex, I live on the first floor, each unit has its own furnace, although the second floor has an finished attic. I have 8 windows, 2 exit doors.....the current furnace size it 105000 btu, Sears brand from 1951, yeah I know it's old. Area of house 21' x 36' x 8' height. How do I calcualte my Btu's.
