furnace problems

we have a 1994 american standard freedom 90 furnace . the main blower comes on at start up. the exhaust blower comes on like it should but i do not think the main should come on till it comes up to temp.we installed a new programmable thermostat about a year ago i am not sure if it started then or not ,i should of paid more attention.could i have wired the thermostat wrong or do i have a sensor bad? i hope some one does not tell me it needs a circuit board, that looks expensive thanks.

Try and find your thermostat manual. When they are set up for electric heat the blower comes on right away. Need to change it to gas.
