hi
ihope iam doing this right as i am a newbe
i have a carrier 58gs-125 gas furnace
a couple of days ago i noticed an electrical smell. i also have a tron max 5 hooked to the furnace that was staying hot (it was making noise when the blower was not running) i turned it off it .that did not solve the problem.
i then noticed the furnace would start and light but the blower would not run i switched the blower from auto to on and it worked!! thinking the problem was with the honeywell 8000 pro thermostat i went into it using programers settings reset all settings put it back to factory default setting making sure it was set for gas and all was well so i thought. today the problem repeated itself this time i notice a noise comming from the blower area so i checked to see if the blower would turn freely and it does i also installed a new capacitor
any suggestions would be appreciated thank you
