most digital stats are setup for a 1/2 degree swing, meaning that the temp will not change on the stat, but its actually 1/2 degree cooler than setting. It is fine that the stat doesn't change temps, that means its working properly so you don't get hot and then cold and then hot again. All is ok!

As stated that's the way they work. If yours has an adjustable CPH then change it to a lower number. Still going to display the same temp but will give a greater droop between cycles.

Yep. Sounds like its doing what it is suppose to do.

Depending on brand and model. You can set the CPH lower to lessen the cycles. And some can have the temp drop increased.

Also, if you furnace is a 2 stage unit, and the thermostat is set up properly, it will also cycle the furnace at the lowest stage to keep it comfortable. What model of Furnace & thermostat?
