Furnace ignitor

I have a Ruud Silhouette furnace model #UGDJ-10EAMER. Last year it would light but shut down shortly after. I cleaned the gas sensor with a dollar bill and it worked all winter. I didnt use the furnace for a few weeks due to warmer weather. Now the furnace will start to cycle and then shut down. I noticed that the ignitor does not glow. It is the type of ignitor that connects with 2 wire nuts. I wanted the part # of the ignitor so that I could order the correct one. Any other ideas I could try instead of replacing the ignitor?

Use a meter and see if the ignitor is getting voltage.

Do you have a flashing diagnostic light /code on your furnace that you can match against the legend inside. It might indicate a plugged inducer line to the pressure switch,or,or,or.

heating sequence of operations:

Inducer (exhaust) motor starts, proving exhaust capability and thus moving on to second sequence.

Pressure switch closes.

Ignitor lights ups

Gas valve opens

Furnace lights up with flames

20-30 seconds after fire, blower comes on.

Hope that helps
