Unhappy Furnace Drip!??!

I have been having a consistent problem with my Magic Chef Forced Air Furnace.
Ok so here it goes, I set my furnace to my desired temperature, my pilot light kicks the burners on and a drip, drip, drip, drip ... begins until the blower turns on. Once the heating cycle is over the drip returns and subsides after about 5 minutes (sometimes it never stops)
So my question is, does anybody know where this drip could be coming from and also is this a saftey issue?
But for the most part I live in Chicago and therm prices are ridiculous... Ive had reoccuring bills that are out of this world for my place (~500-600 sq. ft.) is this any sort of efficiency issue?

Help of any type would be great because my renting agents wont send a professional to look at it..!!

Hi acawley22

Can you let us know if the furnace is vented with pvc pipe or if it has metal pipe. If its a 90 plus it will be vented with the pvc. It could have a plugged condensate drain or a hose leaking. Let us know and one of us will help you find it.

Good luck
