furnace draft motor help

Help my furnace draft motor locks up and tries to start but doesnt turn but if I press on one of the two tlrings around the motors drive shaft in it will rotate. Idk if this is like a contactor relay or if its a bad start capacitor or the motor itself is bad. When locking up it hums loud and when I can get started is really loud some sound appears to be from motor drive shaft. Or are there any other parts it could be I have pics also its a janitrol furnace. Have great electronics knowledge but only vaguely familar with furnaces please help

Sure sounds like a bad bearing or lack of lub.

Can it spin freely on it's own when not powered?
Does it have a capacitor and is it OK?
Do you know if the board is giving it a full 120V?

If you have to replace, try to match here:

Then try to get price using the Fasco Model #

Time for a new ID motor

Before you spend money on a new inducer check the heat exchanger. Take the blower out then crawl up in the blower compartment and look up. The heat exchanger is held together with a bunch of rings which are well known for breaking. If any are cracked or you see rings sitting on top of the blower assembly when removing it then you'll need a heat exchanger and inducer motor which is going to cost as much as a new furnace,or real close.
