Furnace does not respond to Thermostat actions

Hello all,
We had issues with the Furnace/AC unit and technician replaced the Thermostat with newer digital one thinking our issue was the Thermostat. now the Thermostat will not turn on/off the unit. He installed a second one thinking the the first unit was defective but still the same issue.
Any idea what needs to be looked at now? thanks

first issue was the condenser motor fan would not always come on when the unit was on so he cleaned the AC lines but that did not fix the problem so he replaced the Thermostat thinkin it was the issue. now he is stomped and does not know where to go from here. Sounds like time for new tech.
Is the control board inside the furnace? thanks

And ask for a refund from that A/C company. or for a tech that knows what he is doing.

cleaned the ac lines...to fix a control problem..time for a refund...remove the stat and jump R to W ..get back with what happens at the furnace..if you have a control modue within that furnace ....led/lights 24Vs no lights no 24Vs....if the stat has a led screen and it is lit up 24Vs is present....does the NEW subbase have a C terminal on it?
