furnace burners will not stay lit


my furnace heat's up the house when you first turn the thermostat on everything works good , the ignitor and the flame sensor light up fan and blower works good . but when the room cool's down the thermostat call's for heat the ignitor light's up, but the flame sensor will not relight for the burners to light up the furance will go through the cycle, fan and blower comes on but the burners will not light up. the furnace only works good when you first turn on the thermostat,any advice.posted by hrogers14

It might help to share the make, model #.
Also, did you clean the flame sensor yet?

furnace burners will not stay lit


I had a similar problem with one a couple of years ago. It would do everything except send the gas to the burners after the initial call for heat. That one turned out to be a loose connection at the heat assist relay. But it would help to know brands and models
