Furnace blower not working on heat mode

I have a furnace blower motor that isn't working on the auto heat mode, it runs in the cooling mode or fan only, and if i start the fan on fan only and then switch to heat the motor keeps running, but when it shuts off and trys to come back on it just makes a loud humming noise and the fan turns very slowly

when you switch to FAN/ON at the stat that is the HI speed of the supply motor for cooling, then when your calling heat the motor runs either LO or Med LO depending on brand.your LO motor winding is shot with the slow mo during heat...shut the furnace off and see if you have a Med LO wire or Medium to change from LO the speeds are colors check it out till you can change it...or just run the heat with fan in on from the stat
