Furnace and Air Condition Sizes

We have had 3 different estimates to replace our HVAC systems. The recommended sizes on the furnace range from 60,000 BTUs to 90,000 BTUs at 95% efficiency. The A/C range from a 2.5 ton to a 3 ton.
Our home is about 2000 square feet and we live in SW Ohio.

How do we know which is right?

Furnace and Air Condition Sizes

May want to do your own load calc.

A 90,000 95% furnace needs to move a lot of air. So you don't want to get a furnace that is oversized for your ducts, and sounds like a jet engine while running. Let alone uses more gas then needed.

Same problem can happen with the A/C. Too large uses more electric, and can require to much air flow through the duct work.
