Furnace


my furnace is continually running, I thought it may be the thermostat.
I disconnected the wires to thermostat and it still blowing air

Dirty air filter, and could be the high limit tripped.

What do I do about the high limit trip?

Furnace


First, see if the filter is/was the cause. Then if it was, change the filter, and get a new high limit.

Sometimes a slight tap can reset the limit, but you still need a new one.
