fresh air vent question
I have a manufactured home with a full unfinished basement. My water heater is located in the upstairs closet and is propane with a intake vent dropped into the basement. We installed a high efficiency furnace in the basement that has a pvc exhaust and intake pipe installed on this. I also added a wood insert fireplace that is vented into the basement also. My question is that I have a 6 inch flex coming from the outside and drops into a 5 gallon bucket above the floor about 12 inches for makeup/combustion air. I also cut a 6 inch grill register in my return air in the basement also after installing the fresh air vent. I currently run a dehumidifier in the basement at all times around 45%. Is it okay to have this setup the way I do is all I am wondering and hope to hear some input if this is wrong. Thanks

honestly, it sounds bad:eek:... every appliance should have its own fresh air intake if ones required.

So you feel that a 6 inch flex from the outside isn't enough to supply a water heater, fireplace and overall pressurizing of the home? The grill I cut in the furnace return is just for supplying some fresh air to the upstairs. What should I change?
