Forced hot air

Have a heating vent in the kitchen, very close to the burner, its on an old outside wall, now there is a new room on other side, can I open up the othe side, for a vent, and use the existing line to get heat in the other room?

You can, but if it's possible to run a new duct that would be a better solution.

Also make sure that you put in a cold air return into that space.
