Default forced air propane heater & ventilation

I recently purchased a 35,000 btu mr heater unit for my 400 sq. ft. detached garage, was this my best option you think? I am only out there for about 1 hour at a time. My next question is should I vent the garage? like cracking one of the garage doors open about 1', also should I place the unit near the opening? Thanks...

Make sure you install it atleast 18" above the floor.
And yes, open a window, or crack a door open.

Ok, a portable heater.

Still make sure you keep it atleast 18" above the floor.

Gas, solvents and other flammable chemicals go up real quick.

From the manual:
Quote:
Even though this heater operates very close to 100 percent combustion efficiency, it still produces small amounts of carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide (called CO) is toxic. We can tolerate small amounts but not a lot. CO can build up in a heated space and failure to provide adequate ventilation could result in death.

8. For indoor use only. Area must be well ventilated.
So, yes, crack a door or window and read the rest of the manual.

OK, thanks smart guy,..... I read the manual but was asking anyway.....if I went by everything that manuals say, I would be wearing safety glass when hammering nails and not leaving my toaster unattended when making toast!!!
