In Floor Radiant Heat

We move into a house recently that has in floor radiant heat. Its heated by a hot water tank that is in turn heated with natural gas. There are 2 zones in the one level house. How long does it normally take from a cold start for the selected temp to be reached. We on on slab and have hardwood; tile type flooring throughout. There is one module that shows a green light, when I first turned on the thermostats the 2nd module next to the green showed a yellow arrow on top and a red on the bottom. This switched off after a few minutes along with the hot water tank that ran for a few minutes. Other than that there doesn't appear to be any turn ons, there are two small metal boxes that both have an auto switch and they are set to auto. Thanks for any info.

In Floor Radiant Heat

have the circualting pumps run either one for both zones or one each per zone...the tank should maintain hot water so when the stat calls the heat is moving..yes you need to cycle the cold water out from the last cycle so that is the time factor and with that coming back the heater it should kick ON to reheat that return cold water...to make its setpoint..if the circulater pumps aren't running the water just sits even if the zone valves are open....depending on how the zones are controlled something isn't moving
