flash back

Hello. I am new to this forum and dont know much about furnances. So please bear with me?? I have a Utica Boiler LP gas. Model is 100 agb. It statred this past monday. i have already had technician here for three days working on this. Replaced valve, replaced regulator. everything cleaned inside and out. Burners, manifold spotless. Fire up everything is perfect for 10-15 min then flash back. Only in two center burner tubes. My guy called Utica they say pressure should be 13 going in? Dont know if im saying this right? We are at 12. Want to kick it up to see if this corrects problem. Anyone know or had this problem??? Any input is GREATLY appreciated..

13" is the pressure that should be feeding the gas valve. The manifold pressure should be 10 to 11".

Possibly flue passages are still dirty and or chimney. Have your tech. check the draft at the breeching and inspect chimney. I believe this is an atmospheric burner so check condition of each burner. Sounds like a parts changer to me,3 days and you still have the same problem?

On every boiler that I service I check draft and do a combustion anaylas.

I agree with fitter1 check draft and also do a combustion anaylas.

For intermit problems I could understand taking 3 days but when the problem happens all the time well then you have a tech that doesn't know what they are doing.

Thanks for the feed back. Adjusted the pressure to 13 wc where its supposed to be. Under further inspection of burners found tiny hairline crack in one burner. Checking on replacement burners now. Dont know if they still make them for my model?? Its a 100 AGB. If not, its new boiler time....

2nd try at a reply. I've got some Utica AGB tubes for sale on eBay right now, item#160516897748. And yes, they're still available from the factory (866-847-6656) but you have to buy through a distributor. Good luck!
