Five inch ductwork in basement ceiling - how to end the run?

We are finishing off the basement and we have two small bedrooms down there. The ceiling in the basement is composed of double sets of 2x6's.

We are planning to enclose the ceiling. An HVAC contractor helped up put new runs into the rooms. However, he was supposed to come back and finish them and some other jobs, but, long story short, is not coming back.

The problem - the runs to the rooms are 5 inch ducts in the ceiling. (There is only 5 1/2 inches of space inch which to fit them so the ceiling can be enclosed.) I need to find some way of ending the runs so that the heating vent will be flush with the ceiling.

Most of the products I'm finding curve the heating vent down too low so it would be below the level of the ceiling. Any suggestions?

Where would you find one to connect to a 5 inch duct? So far in my search of local stores and online - I can only seem to find 6 inch ones.

Although not 100% proper.

You can use a round to oval adapter, then a side wall head.

Any sheet metal shop should be able to get you one of these: http://www.standexadp.com/catproduct...egister%20Boot
scroll down the page to a # P17C-405 you may have to trim it a bit but its still do-able!
