Finding Gas Pilot Light to Old Wall Furnace

Hi, I want to turn off my gas because of hotter outdoor temperatures, but I can't figure out my Lennox wall furnace.

*Picture attached. I've put a red circle around what I think is the pilot light. It has no ON/OFF markings and, regardless of moving it clockwise or counter-clockwise, nothing seems to change.

Any idea how I can shut the gas off on this puppy? Thank you.

Follow the incoming gas piping. Is this on a slab, or on a crawlspace? The shutoff should be on the left. That unit does need a good vacuuming to get rid of all those cobwebs. Looks like it has not been touched in years, so makes for a good CO emitter.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

Yeah, that unit looks in rough shape. Best to get it serviced and inspected for any cracks in the heat exchanger.
