Fan works but no heat or ac

I have an ac unit that recently quit working. I have replaced the control wires going to the outside unit. I have taken the thermostat to the inside unit and wired it with 12" of new wire to rule out varment chew through.
I have bought a new control board and still nothing. I have touched the red and yellow wires on the thermostat together and the outside unit tries to come on. I can't afford a tech and am very handy with electricity considering I work on Archade games. The outside unit is only two years old.

Please help!

Oh and I'm new here. thanks

If it's two years old it's still under parts warranty. Call a tech before you ruin the parts on the ac and void your warranty.

I repeat my first post: The outside unit being only two years is under the factory parts warranty.

Ok I get it but here's the thing. The heater does the same thing. Blower comes on and thats it. its not under any kind of warranty. I don't have the money for a tech. If I did I would have called one.

I did check the fuses.

Are you giving me the runaround because you don't have a clue as to what it is? Or do you think that I'm an idiot that can't do anything.

I can assure you that I can sweat pipe with the best of them. I've taken a few heating and air classes. I'm a welder, Electronics junkie, Cable and sattelite guy among other things. I know what the capacitor can do. I'm not stupid. I have three kids and its getting into the 90's. I need air!

You got a problem in the controls some place. You need to check with a meter.

You know how to use one?

I work on Archade games as I stated in my first post. Fluke bench meter ok? Sorry for the sarcasm. I'm very frustrated.

Don't get nasty. It's late and I am beat. I don't live on this board you know.

And since you seem to think I am idiotic you might want to re-examine your opinion cause you ain't paying nothing for the info you get. So that makes you an ingrate.

Good night.

If you can do all that stuff then you are pulling my leg. All that knowledge and you can't tell if your ac contactor is closing.

And where are you going to get a part this late any way?

Don't call me idiotic, my ac works.

Well, with all your arcade knowledge.

Did you check to see if the contactor is getting 24 volts.

And if its not. Did you check to see where the voltage stops at.
