fan won't shut off

I have an American Standard freedom 90 heater whose fan doesn't shut off when the heat temperature is reached. The heater does shut off, but fan keeps running.

Make a easy check first.

At your thermostat make sure the Fan "On/Auto" is in the Auto position.

Most of those have a temp switch in the air box that measures the temp of the air coming off the heater. It keeps the fan going until it has cooled down enough. Your unit should have a schematic....it's pretty easy to find the wires and use a voltmeter to measure.
