The heater would kick on but no heat was going to the house. Now, the AC unit kicks on but there is no cold air coming through the vents. The only thing we can think is that the fan is not working to blow the air around. Please help.
I am not a HVAC pro, but when I've had this problem with my heatpumps in the past it was due to a bad motor control module on the blower fan motor.
It happened so often with my Carrier 4-ton hp that I learned how to change it myself and kept a spare module on hand (the last one cost me $375).
It could be something else of course, but you need a pro to check it out (as I usually do) if you do not know how to service your unit.
Good Luck!
Mike
