Fan motor won't turn on; ohms out fine...

So my compressor is kicking on..fan motor does not, so of course the compressor eventually hisses from the internal relief. Ohming out the fan though, I get 30 ohms on C to S, 25 on C to R, & the sum of 55 on R to S..so pretty sure that means the motor's good. What else could be keeping the fan from not turning on? I don't think it could be overpressured, it's been working fine all summer...unless there's a blockage in the lines, which would suck. I left the unit disconnected all night to be sure the fan motor would cool down, & it still won't come on.

Could be the capacitor, or if this is a heat pump, a faulty control board.

I originally thought it was the capacitor as the fan AND compressor wouldn't turn on; it tested bad. So I replaced it, & now the compressor comes on but fan does not..quintuple checked the wiring, too. It is not a heat pump.

Bottom line is if the capacitor is good and there's 240V to the motor and it doesn't run then you buy a new motor.

Mind telling us where the wires from the fan are?
I do the same test on the motors, and have never had a motor test good and not run (unless the bearings are seized).

Alright, I feel dumb..had the C wire from the compressor on the wrong side of the contactor. It's working now..thanks guys.
