Fair Quote?


Basically need to replace my split system. Quoted for electric 3 ton Heil for $3800. Includes inside and outside. Live in Auburn,GA 30011. Sounds fair??

There is a margin of quality difference between a builder grade and premium products so without knowing the exact level it is all a guess.

I would guess that $2,000 is equipment cost and the rest is labor and margin.

If you have a couple of other quotes and the $3,800 comes in at or below it is fair, as long the apples are compared to the apples.

Just bid a 3 ton gas faf 3 ton coil & cond. unit ( 13 seer) 10 yr parts warranty installed for 3750.00 if that helps

Doesn't sound bad. You'll pay twice that in other parts of the country!
